As Global Editor-in-Chief of Jing Daily, Jing Zhang grew audience and positioned the publication as the key authority on China’s business of luxury, fashion, beauty, retail, brands, ecom and consumer insights. She oversaw a website redesign and started the Jing Beauty newsletter and expanded digital coverage in tech, AI and Web3.

In 2025, she founded Luxe/Detour, a contemporary travel magazine aimed at sophisticated, cultured travellers. It curates intel and guides to the most interesting places, neighbourhoods and venues. Leaning away from mass tourism and towards a truly global, non Western-centric, lens, it also profiles key insiders and world travellers.
